For the upcoming 2011 MLB Draft, BaseballNewsHound.com has ranked the top 120+ amateur baseball prospects. The following spreadsheet provides scouting grades (using the standard 20-80 scouting scale) on each prospect as well as biographical information and scouting notes. Each player is ranked according to their overall future potential– the average score of each of their graded tools. An overall future potential laying between 50 and 55 represents a prospect that projects to be an average, everyday baseball player in the big leagues. Those with scores laying just above that range (55-60) project to be above-average players and occasional All-Stars while those who grade above 60 project to be stars.
